On March 18, 2021, new data published by Bennington College reports that the US Military has ordered the burning of over 20 million pounds of Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF), which is a PFAS “forever chemical” used near communities throughout the United States between 2016-2020.

In a survey of United States military bases, there have been 393 sites identified as having AFFF, including 126 sites where PFAS compounds infiltrated public drinking water.
